Algerian imports from the EU reached 7.14 billion dollars in the first quarter of 2014 , 51.60 % of total imports of the country, while Algerian exports to these countries were 10.93 billion dollars, representing 66 to 55% of the total exports of the country, constituted over 95% of the hydrocarbons and their derivatives , according to the customs. Compared to the same period last year, imports and exports of Algeria to the business community has dropped, respectively, 7.87% and 5.06% , preliminary data indicate the center , obtained by APS .

With the exception of China and the United States of ' America , which are classified , respectively , 1st and 6th supplier of Algeria , Algeria 's largest foreign trade takes place with EU countries . In the first quarter of 2014 , Spain beat Italy , ranking first customer of Algeria absorb approximately $ 2.25 billion ( 13.68 %) of its exports. As for suppliers of Algeria , China continues to lead the standings with $ 1.87 billion ( 13.52 % ) of the total , France with more than usd 1.67 m ( 12:11 % ), followed by Italy with usd 1,26 m ( 9,15 %), Spain with 1.21 m usd (8.78 % ) and Germany with 810 md usd 5.86% is added to the same source .

Countries of the Organization for Trade and Development ( OECD) countries outside the EU are 2.01 billion dollars, or 14.52 % of imports from Algeria , an increase of 26.75 % . Algeria exports to these countries amounted to about $ 2.49 billion , or 15.15% of total sales abroad of Algeria , falling by over 32 % during the first quarter of 2014 compared to the same period last year.

The exchanges between Algeria and the region during the same period of comparison, are made primarily with the United States occupies 8th place in the list of major customers in the country with $ 602 million ( 3.66% ) of the total and 6th in the ranking of the leading suppliers for a value of $ 658 million (4.76 %). Turkey also remains " an important partner " for Algeria since it is ranked 6th client with a value of $ 915 million (5.57 %) of the total supplier and seventh with $ 488 million (3.53 %) total .

ASIA MAIN COMPETITOR OF EU
Asian countries are the main competitor of the EU , trade with Algeria have increased by over 33% from $ 3.1 billion to 4.04 billion dollars. Algerian imports from Asia amounted to U.S. $ 2.82 billion ( 20.42% ) to 10.44% , while exports are estimated at about 1,220 million dollars ( 7.42% ) also on 123.67 % explains the CNIS .

Within this geographic area, China remains a partner "important" in Algeria, ranked first provider in the country with 1.87 m usd ( 13.52 %) and 14 customers with 352 million USD (2, 14 % ) . The volume of trade with the countries of the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA ) fell 9.96% in the 1st quarter of 2014 to reach 1.12 m 1.24 m usd usd compared to the same period in 2013.

The trade with the Arab countries (except UMA ) fell 2.09% to 701 million against 716 million in the same period of comparison. During the first quarter of 2014 , exports from Algeria reached nearly 16.43 billion dollars and imports amounted to 13.83 billion dollars, which has resulted in a trade surplus of nearly $ 2.6 billion.
