The polemicist Eric Zemmour was sentenced Thursday to 3,000 euro fine for inciting hatred against Muslims for remarks to the Italian newspaper "Corriere della Sera" in October 2014.
It stated inter alia that Muslims "have their own civil code, the Koran," they "live together, in the suburbs. The French were forced to leave."
Prosecutors had asked for 10,000 euro fine.
