"Having learned with deep sorrow the death of His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency the President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika has sent in his name and on behalf of the Algerian people and its government's condolences to King Salman bin Abdulaziz , the new ruler of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Custodian of the Two Holy Places of Islam, as well as brother Saudi people, "said the statement.
The Head of State also appointed Friday a large delegation to represent Algeria at the funeral of King scheduled for this afternoon. The delegation led by the President of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah, also includes the President of the Constitutional Council, Mourad Medelci and the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals Tayeb Louh.
