The anniversary of the death of Benazir Bhutto!

Benazir Bhutto

She was a great woman with a love so special and unique for her country , she wanted to change and improve various sectors and especially laws that oppressed Pakistan. A woman and tenacious fighter who did not have any intention of giving up and although she decided to self- exile in Dubai for 8 years and then in England. Nowadays , many women still suffer the emptiness of Benazir irreplaceable. She was so easy to get to her dream , however, was shattered by someone who hated Benazir , one that was conservative of the ancient traditions , where the woman had very little or nothing. The subjugation of women in Pakistan is still evident today. Tomorrow 27/12/2007 is the anniversary of her death we hope that had not happened for nothing, that all the women of the world fight for this freedom more verbal than reality. That all states of the world begin to eliminate these outrageous laws that oppress and  overshadow women in several countries where it reigns supreme dictatorship and religious fanaticism . I think it should be a point of divide between religion and personal life of human beings. That man should learn to respect the religious faiths, others' faith and accept his fellows for better or for worse. Equality also means diversity to understand themselves and others. The woman should be equal to man in every sense. A saying of the Prophet Muhammad: " Heaven is under the feet of mothers " , under the feet of the females and not the fathers, the men.

Since the beginning of the second term [edit | edit source ]
Benazir Bhutto was the eldest daughter of the deposed Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Begum Nusrat Bhutto , the latter of Kurdish - Iranian origin . His paternal grandfather was Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto, a Sindhi instead , and was one of the key figures of the independence movement of Pakistan.
Intermediate studies carried out in Pakistan in 1973 he obtained a degree in political science at the American University of Harvard. He later moved to Oxford to study politics, philosophy and economics at St Catherine 's College. Not yet twenty years old, he became an assistant of his father in his work.
Returned to Pakistan after university , suffered the events that led to the first deposition , then the execution of his father by the will to power of the dictator , General Muhammad Zia -ul- Haq , and he was confined to house arrest. When , in 1984 , he obtained permission to return to the UK , he became a leader in exile of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP ), formerly chaired by his father.
His influence on the political life of Pakistan , however, remained limited until the death of Zia- ul -Haq (17 August 1988) . At subsequent elections (November 16 ) , the PPP won the majority in the National Assembly . Benazir was sworn in as Prime Minister on Dec. 2, after the formation of the coalition government , thus becoming, at the age of thirty-five, the youngest person but also the first woman to hold the post in a contemporary Muslim country .
He was deposed in 1990 by the then President of the Republic after allegations of corruption , and the PPP lost the elections held in October of the same year. He stood at the head of the opposition to the government of Nawaz Sharif , leader of the Muslim League -N, until 1993 , when a new consultation decreed the victory of his party and the beginning of his second term as Premier . This mandate was again marked by allegations of corruption - which also affected Benazir 's husband , Asif Ali Zardari , the subject of rumors and partly public opinion as "Mr. 10%" for that would have demanded bribes from businessmen (say has never shaken off even after the acquittal of the charge of money laundering by the Swiss Court ) - which led to a second dismissal in 1996. After this date and until the amendment to the Constitution by Pervez Musharraf (2002) could not run again , being excluded by law the possibility of a third term.
Return to Pakistan
After so eight years in self-imposed exile in Dubai and London on his return home to prepare for the national elections of 2008 was marred October 18, 2007 by a bomb that caused 138 deaths and at least 600 injured. The explosions took place in Karachi during a procession of supporters who welcomed the entry of former Prime Minister in the city , soon after his arrival at the airport. Benazir Bhutto, an armored truck from which greeted citizens and supporters, he remained unharmed.
Most of the victims in the crowd were members of the Pakistan People's Party . The next day the former Premier accused the government of President Pervez Musharraf [2] failed to take preventive measures to ensure the massacre , which was given the warning by intelligence services before the explosions , was averted . Even in the absence of claims by the real instigators of suicide attacks Benazir Bhutto claimed to be certain that these had occurred at the hands of a group of matricetalebana and certainly a group of followers of the former dictator Muhammad Zia -ul- Haq , author the coup against the government of his father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. In the aftermath of the massacre of Karachi, in the climate of tension instituted , in part because of the military operations made by the government take against Taliban strongholds in the north of the country, Bhutto was placed under house arrest who were dismissed only because of U.S. pressure .
On 2 November 2007 , was transmitted from a program of study of Al Jazeera Inglese , an interview with Benazir Bhutto to Sir David Frost , one of the most famous journalists of the BBC with forty years of experience in interviewing prominent personalities . After just six minutes of conversation the reporter asked other information regarding the letter that Benazir Bhutto - before returning to Pakistan - had sent to President Pervez Musharraf. In response, a few days after he escaped the bloody attack on October 18 , Benazir Bhutto listed the enemies referred to the president, and among these he quoted a Pakistani intelligence officer who , he said, had had dealings with Omar Sheikh, ie one who - said Bhutto - " murdered Osama bin Laden." Frost did not seem to grasp the stunning revelation about the murder occurred Bin Laden and continued the interview letting the matter drop . The BBC felt that it had been a slip of the tongue , the more so in the days following the Bhutto gave interviews talking about how Bin Laden still alive.
murder
Bhutto was killed December 27, 2007 in a new suicide attack at the end of his rally in Rawalpindi , about 30 km from the capital Islamabad. At least 20 people died in the attack and 30 others were injured . The attackers , after firing several shots fired at Bhutto , detonated a charge, possibly from a suicide bomber near the main entrance of the place where they had gathered thousands of people to attend the rally . Transported immediately to the hospital , the Pakistani opposition leader died shortly after due to the severity of his injuries , in part also due to the violent movement of air caused by the explosion. Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf condemned the assassination attempt he claimed to be " Islamic terrorists " , a voice that was confirmed by Mustafa Abu al- Yazid , head of operations of the terrorist organization al- Qa'idain Afghanistan , one of the most faithful of the number two al- Qaeda , Ayman al-Zawahiri , who would personally ordered the assassination .
However, Bhutto's husband , Asif Ali Zardari , accused the Musharraf government as responsible for the attack. In this regard it should be noted the role of the powerful Pakistani intelligence service , the ISI ( Inter-Services Intelligence) , a supporter of the Taliban since the time of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 , under the direction of Akhtar Abdur Rahman when the government will was the dictator Zia- ul -Haq , and never purged by Musharraf by fundamentalist elements , if not with cosmetic changes at the top of the same .
Other commentators , however, observe that the attack had occurred after the close understanding reached between Musharraf and Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who was supposed to meet even the most stringent Bhutto for a strategy in the fight against the Taliban that effectively control the border between the two countries. Understanding actively favored by the U.S..
Al- Qaeda , however, denied any wrongdoing by the Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud 's denial which excluded any involvement in the affair. Same Mehsud was intercepted a phone call in which he spoke with the men who organized the attack .
At least three days after his death, as tradition dictates , the testament was opened where among other things he was appointed his eldest son , then nineteen years , Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the head of the party. But in fact, he was the widower Asif Ali Zerdari , formally co -president, to guide him, while the right arm of Benazir , Makhdoom Amin Fahim was a candidate for prime minister, given the impossibility of being able to be elected to that office , according to Pakistani law , a person less than 25 years.
On April 26, 2013, a Pakistani court has placed under house arrest Musharraf in connection with the death of Benazir Bhutto
