Trade, trade surplus of Algeria reached $ 1.2 billion in January 2014

Algeria has made ​​in January 2014 a trade surplus of 1.2 billion dollars ( usd md ) against 1.08 billion usd in the same month in 2013 , up 11.17% , says the National Centre for Informatics Customs and Statistics ( CNIS ) .
It is important to note that during this same period , the six main customers Algeria were Spain with 774 million usd , France ( 690 million ), Italy (522 million), the Netherlands ( 475 million ) , Great Britain ( 430 million ) and finally Canada with 382 million .
As for suppliers, China was in the lead with 589 million usd , followed by France ( 573 million ), Spain ( 377 million ), Italy ( 370 million ), Germany ( 295 million ) and the United States of America ( 149 000 000 ) . If imports reached 4.31 billion dollars in the month of January 2014 against 4.69 billion dollars in January 2013 , also down 8.06% , exports , for their part, reached 5.51 billion dollars last January against 5.77 billion dollars in the same period in 2012 , down 4.45% . For analysts, it should be noted that the rate of coverage of imports by exports is 128 % in January against 123% during the same period in 2013.
And as always chffres National Centre for Informatics and Statistics Customs ( CNIS ) , hydrocarbons still represent the bulk of Algerian exports with a share of 94.22 % of the total volume of international shipments . In other words and in figures , there is 5.19 billion dollars in January against 5.54 billion dollars in the same period last year , recording a decrease of 6.14 %.
As for the non-hydrocarbon exports , there are low rates of 5.78 % of the total volume of exports , despite an increase of 35 % from 236 to 319,000,000 USD. According to Customs figures thus enhancement of non -oil exports in January was due mainly by exports of semi-finished products group which totaled 281 million usd , up nearly 65.3% , property 28 million usd with food and raw materials with 9,000,000 usd .
Several groups of imports, declines , including energy and lubricants totaled 124 million usd a decrease of nearly 74 %.
There is also the non-food consumer goods which recorded 736 million usd a decrease of 21.2% and finally the raw materials with usd 168 million with a decrease of 7.18% . For cons , the other groups showed increases imports , including food products with a total of 982 million usd ( 14.19 %) , capital goods, agricultural equipment with 49 million usd ( 13.95 %) and finally the industrial equipment with 1.36 m usd (4.05 %).
On the figures of last year, the National Centre for Informatics and Statistics of Customs ( CNIS ) , indicates that Algeria has a trade surplus of 11.06 billion dollars against 21.49 billion dollars in 2012, down 48.51 %. This decline is due to an increase of nearly 8.9 % of imports and also a decrease ( 8.28% ) of exports.
Since exports reached nearly 65.92 billion dollars , against 71.86 billion dollars in 2012 , down 8.28% . As for imports, they amounted to 54.85 billion dollars , against 50.37 billion dollars in 2012, thus showing an increase of 8.89% .
